About Guruji

Gu means ignorance and Ru means the remover. Guru is the one who dispels ignorance or darkness. Out of abundant Anugraham (Grace) for His Creation the Almighty/Paramatman descends as Guru/ Master to emancipate souls and enable their evolution to merge into Him - the ultimate destination on the path of Liberation / Moksha.

Lovingly referred to as Guruvugaru/ Guruji by innumerable disciples, Sathguru Dr. K. Sivananda Murthy garu- Lord Siva incarnate, descended to uplift ordinary souls ensnared in the karmic cycle of birth/death and impart the knowledge of the art of living and more importantly, the science of leaving.

Guruji, a “Maha Yogi” spoke extensively on Santana Dharma, Indian Culture/History and Chronicles of our Great Rishis amongst various other wide ranging topics. He has also authored several books that inspire love for the Nation, recognition of our glorious past and Universal brotherhood. Many fortunate disciples under His loving watch experienced an awakening of a desire for liberation and were blessed with exponential progress on the path of Moksha.

A great patriot with immeasurable love for our great nation Bharat and a resolve to re-establish and preserve Sanatana Dharma, He often reiterated that a sincere prayer for the well-being of all including one's enemies is the secret that confers protection and emancipation for the individual. He encouraged one and all to think and work for the welfare of the nation when eyes are open and meditate on the Self within when closed.

Guruji was rooted in the firm belief that safety and security of the Society as a whole is of utmost importance to propel the soul's evolution towards Paramatman – the ultimate goal, which can be achieved through Group Meditation, Yoga and Rituals. He often stated that a Community Yoga or Meditation session carries with it a hundred-fold greater impact relative to that of an individual performing in solitude.

Based on His directives, collective Meditation Sessions are hosted on this portal aimed at achieving a safe and secure environment in our Country as a whole and the World at large.
